An art performance was held Monday in Cao Bang province to celebrate Uncle Ho’s birthday and the 85th anniversary of his return to Vietnam to lead the Vietnamese revolution. A highlight of the program was the play “The South in Uncle Ho’s Heart”, along with songs and dances praising the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, patriotism, and the nation’s glorious revolutionary tradition.

Dang Thuy Tien, a resident of Nung Tri Cao ward, Cao Bang province, said she was deeply moved by the play and this was the first time she had the chance to watch a theatrical performance in the province.

“The artists performed with such emotion that I burst into tears. Our affection for President Ho Chi Minh is the most sacred feeling. We are profoundly grateful to Him for setting out to find a path to save the nation, so that our country can enjoy peace as it does today,” said Tien.

Also on Tuesday, Cao Bang province, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, organized a seminar highlighting the Party’s strategic vision for national liberation and development at the eighth Plenum of the first Party Central Committee in May 1941.

Le Hai Binh, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, said, “With pride in nearly 100 years of leading the Vietnamese revolution, and with the responsibility to continue enriching the profound theoretical and practical values and achievements of the eighth Plenum of the first Party Central Committee, together with the noble mission entrusted by the people, the Communist Party of Vietnam will certainly continue leading the people in promoting patriotism, self-reliance, resilience, and the aspiration to contribute.”

“Joint efforts will be made to write new glorious chapters in history and gradually realize the aspiration of building a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized, and happy Vietnam firmly advancing toward socialism,” Binh added.

The Sen Village Festival 2026 opened Monday in Kim Lien commune, Nghe An province, President Ho Chi Minh’s hometown. Running through next Saturday, the festival features flower and incense offerings, tributes at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House, a procession of his portrait, and thematic exhibitions marking the 115th anniversary of his departure to seek a path for national salvation and the 80th anniversary of his appeal for national resistance.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Bangladesh, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh Research Group, hosted a seminar themed “Ho Chi Minh Thought on Great National Unity in the Cause of National Construction and Defense”.

The Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese Bilingual School in Vientiane on Monday commemorated the 136th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh, reviewing his life and revolutionary career. The Vietnamese Embassy in Laos also organized book exhibition, art performance, and documentary screening about the great leader of Vietnam.
