It has sent diplomatic notes to the Indian Embassy in Hanoi and the Indian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City. The Vietnamese Embassy in India has also sent a diplomatic note to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs to inform them of the incident.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung sent condolences to Indian Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and the families of the victims, saying that the Vietnamese Government has directed relevant agencies to implement all necessary measures to support the victims.
The Ministry will continue to work closely with the People's Committee of An Giang province, Phu Quoc Special Zone, the Vietnamese Embassy in India, the Indian Embassy in Hanoi, and the Indian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City to closely monitor the case, urgently carry out consular work, protect citizens, and promptly bring the remains of the deceased tourists back to India in accordance with the requests of the victims' families.
