Mr. Hung made the remarks at Thursday's reception in Hanoi for Fiona Bassett, FTSE Russell CEO, and a delegation of representatives from global investment organizations.

Next Monday, Vietnam's stock market will officially attain “Secondary Emerging Market” status under FTSE Russell's classification criteria.

Prime Minister Hung said Vietnam will continue implementing follow-up measures to maintain the newly achieved status. He expressed confidence that, through cooperation with FTSE Russell and global partners, Vietnam's stock market will continue to develop, maintain its classification, and strengthen its position in the region.

Ms. Fiona Bassett said FTSE Russell's upgrade of Vietnam's stock market reflects Vietnam’s commitments, reform efforts, achievements in recent years, and growing investor confidence.

She noted that Vietnam has developed into a market with some of the strongest liquidity in the Asia-Pacific region, along with high participation by foreign investors.

FTSE Russell reaffirmed its commitment to providing comprehensive support for the growth of Vietnam's capital market, thus contributing to Vietnam’s strategic goals, and deepening its integration into international financial markets.
