Meeting Troy Rohrbaugh, Co-President of JPMorgan Chase, Mr. Lam said that Vietnam is pushing to achieve high-growth targets and implementing key projects in infrastructure, energy, and digital transformation. He urged JPMorgan Chase to strengthen Vietnam’s connections with the international financial and investment community, and help Vietnam’s Government, banks, and enterprises access international capital sources.
Mr. Rohrbaugh said JPMorgan Chase is ready to share its experience and help Vietnam develop a modern, transparent, efficient financial and capital market, and increase its integration into the global financial system.
Vietnam’s top leader told Robert Thomson, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Government Affairs at Visa, that Vietnam is accelerating national digital transformation and the development of a digital economy, digital society, and digital government, and invited Visa to work with Vietnam in achieving these goals.
Mr. Lam suggested that Visa collaborate with Vietnam to expand digital payments in the public sector, advance public transportation and digital tourism, help small and medium-sized enterprises integrate into the digital economy, and strengthen payment fraud prevention. He affirmed Vietnam's readiness to partner with Visa in translating current initiatives into larger-scale programs with measurable outcomes.
Mr. Thomson praised Vietnam's dynamic development, particularly in science, technology, innovation, and e-payments, areas that closely align with Visa's strategic direction. He affirmed Visa's desire to deepen cooperation with Vietnamese partners to support digital transformation and aid Vietnam’s innovation and digital payment expansion.
