Golden Dragon Awards honor top FDI firms driving Vietnam’s growth

Over the past 25 years, the program has recognized and celebrated hundreds of major FDI brands investing in Vietnam, including Toyota, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, HSBC, Samsung, Deloitte, Heineken, and Coca-Cola. The awards have evolved into a platform for policy dialogue and business connectivity, linking enterprises with central and local authorities to help address challenges and foster a more transparent, stable, and investor-friendly business environment.

Addressing the award ceremony in Hanoi, Dao Quang Binh, Secretary General of the Vietnam Economic Association and Deputy Chairman of the Editorial Board of Vietnam Economic Times, said, “The Golden Dragon Award initiative was launched in 2001 by Vietnam Economic Times in collaboration with foreign investment management agencies, at a time when Vietnam was accelerating efforts to attract FDI following the first wave of investment in the 1990s.”

“This award serves as a major source of encouragement for outstanding FDI enterprises, helping build and strengthen an increasingly dynamic and effective foreign-invested business community that contributes positively to Vietnam’s economy,” Binh added. “Its value also lies in the strong media and social impact it creates, raising public awareness of the activities, achievements, and contributions of the FDI business sector in Vietnam,” according to Binh.

This year’s awards were based on criteria including strong business growth, leadership in green and digital transformation, and positive contributions to the community. Nearly 200 nominations were submitted to the organizing board. Following two rounds of evaluation, the Top 50 FDI enterprises were honored in five categories: Outstanding FDI Enterprises, Sustainable Development Enterprises, Impressive Growth Enterprises, Green Transition Pioneer Enterprises, and Community-Centric Enterprises.
