The 90-minute program, called "From the Autumn of Independence", at Cau Giay Park marked the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution (on August 19) and National Day (on September 2).
Opening with the song "August 19", the program recreated the atmosphere of the nationwide uprising in 1945 before recalling different chapters of Vietnam's history in music and dance.
The performances included songs honoring the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, and depicting the struggles and sacrifices of earlier generations for national independence. Peace, Vietnam’s landscapes and people, and its development and integration with the international community were featured. The song "As if Uncle Ho Were With Us on Victory Day" performed by artists from the Thang Long Theater wrapped up the show.
The art program was jointly organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Cau Giay ward.
