The "Forever 20" art program had three chapters: "Youth dedicated to the nation", "A journey of memory and gratitude", and "Reunion and aspirations for the future". A series of performances retraced key moments in the nation's history and honored soldiers, miners, and Quang Ninh's heroes who laid down their lives for the nation. A key part of the program covered the national 500-day campaign to accelerate the search, recovery, and identification of fallen soldiers' remains.
Nguyen Thanh Tung, Deputy Director of the Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the public performance promotes revolutionary traditions and fosters the Vietnamese moral value of “remembering the source of the water we drink.” It also inspired a spirit of dedication among young people.
Free tickets were distributed to relatives of fallen soldiers, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and families with meritorious service to the revolution, according to Mr. Tung.
“This is a profound political and cultural event to commemorate and honour fallen heroes, war invalids, sick soldiers, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and families of national contributors. The program is expected to accommodate an audience of 30,000,” said Tung.
Quang Ninh, together with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, An Giang and Hai Phong, has been selected to host a large-scale art program to mark War Invalids and Martyrs' Day. The event in Quang Ninh featured renowned artists, accompanied by a symphony orchestra, choir, professional arts troupes and hundreds of amateur performers.
With a modern outdoor stage, advanced sound and lighting systems, and large-scale LED screens, the program offered an emotionally powerful and deeply humane artistic experience.
