Major undertakings include the Thu Thiem–Long Thanh railway, the Ho Tram–Long Thanh International Airport expressway, the expansion of Nguyen Tat Thanh street, the Cai Mep Ha seaport cluster, and the Can Gio–Vung Tau sea-crossing bridge.
Under a plan issued on Monday, activities will be held in Ho Chi Minh City and Nghe An province to mark the 136th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh and the 115th anniversary of his departure to seek a path for national salvation. Events will include recognition ceremonies for outstanding individuals, a tree-planting campaign in his memory, exhibitions, book fairs, cultural performances, and sports events.
Highlights will include a commemorative performance on June 5 at the Ho Chi Minh City Theatre, the Sen Village Festival arts program in Nghe An, and a photo exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of the city’s renaming.
