Barry Flannery, Commercial Director of SMBC Aviation Capital, said Vietnam is on course to become one of the fastest-growing aviation markets in the Asia-Pacific region over the next two decades.
He attributed this growth to Vietnam’s young and increasingly affluent population, and the government's continued investment in airport infrastructure, hotels, and tourism services.
Paul Geaney, Chairman and Chief Commercial Officer of Avolon, said the Asia-Pacific is the world's largest and fastest-growing aviation market. He said Vietnam has been one of the region's standout performers, with its aviation sector expanding by 121% over the past decade.
From an investor's perspective, Mathew Adamo, co-founder of AIP Capital, described Vietnam's aviation industry as a very attractive investment destination, citing the country's robust economic growth and population of more than 100 million. He said these factors present significant opportunities for international investors.
