During a phone conversation on Monday with Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Guler, the Iranian official stressed that countries in the region should take primary responsibility for their own security. He proposed forming a security alliance involving Iran, Türkiye, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and several other regional states.
Ebn-e-Reza said the ceasefire agreement with the US was reached at the request of neighboring countries to help restore regional stability, but Iran remains vigilant and its armed forces are prepared to respond should the agreement be violated.
He also condemned Israel's military operations in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran, warning that continued actions could further escalate tensions in the region.
