Welcoming the delegation at Noi Bai International Airport were Minister and Head of the Government Office Dang Xuan Phong; Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu; Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government Office.
According to Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu, Prime Minister Takaichi's visit to Vietnam is a chance for both sides to further political trust and strategic exchanges at the high level, and create new momentum for in-depth, substantive, and effective bilateral cooperation.
The trip is expected to focus on areas that align with the priorities and complementary strengths of both Vietnam and Japan. They include economics, science and technology, innovation, energy security, food security, semiconductor manufacturing cooperation, artificial intelligence (AI), green transformation, human resource development, tourism, local cooperation, cultural exchange, people-to-people exchanges, as well as closer coordination on regional and global issues of mutual concern.
Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Ito Naoki said that Prime Minister Takaichi's visit is an opportunity for the two countries to strengthen coordination based on the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) framework, as well as in responding to regional and global issues. Numerous high-level talks will be held for both sides to exchange views on energy, economic security, rare earth elements, people-to-people exchanges, and academic cooperation.
