The first flight of the day, VN1380 by Vietnam Airlines, from Ho Chi Minh City to Dat Lat, landed at 7:05 AM.

Lien Khuong airport also hosted a flight departing from Da Lat to Can Tho, the first such flight on this route in nearly 6 years. There will be one flight on the Da Lat-Can Tho route per day.

Also on Wednesday, the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) inaugurated a project to repair Lien Khuong Airport's runway and taxiways, with the total investment of more than 38 million USD.

“The repaired runway and taxiways will improve Lien Khuong airport's capacity, safety, and enable the airport to accommodate larger Code E aircrafts for long-haul flights. This will allow the airport to operate key domestic and international routes. It will help connect Lam Dong Province to major cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as other countries in the region, said ACV Acting General Director Nguyen Duc Hung.

Following the repairs, Lien Khuong Airport continues to qualify as a 4D airport and serve both civilian and military operations.
