Hoang Nam lost both sets with the same score of 3-6. Winning the runner-up position is considered a success for Vietnam’s number 1 player as he will get 12 points on the World Ranking and return to the Top 500 ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals).

Schepper is a veteran player of the French tennis. He rose to 64th in the world in April 2014 and is currently ranked 532nd.

Hoang Nam will soon travel to Thailand to attend two M15 Chiang Rai tournaments scheduled to take place from April 4-17, to prepare for the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in mid-May. He is the gold medalist in the men’s singles at the SEA Games.
