In an article titled ‘Hanoi SEA Games ends in colorful, vibrant, spectacular style’, Malaysian news agency Bernama reviewed the Games’ closing ceremony, noting that Vietnam, hosting the event for the second time, set a new record this year by winning 205 gold medals.
The news site The Star lauded Vietnam’s successful organization of the Games and the warm and joyful 90-minute farewell to international friends after excellent competitions.
The New Straits Times said Vietnam had hosted the tournament smoothly with few refereeing issues.
