The event was organized by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnamese Embassy in South Korea, bringing together more than 70 representatives from South Korean intellectual and academic circles, friendship associations, people’s organizations, businesses and non-governmental organizations operating in Vietnam.
Mr. Man said there remains vast potential and many opportunities for cooperation between the two countries. He expressed his hope that the South Korea-Vietnam Friendship Association, the Association of Koreans Who Love Vietnam, NGOs, businesses, universities, scientists and entrepreneurs would continue working with their Vietnamese counterparts to promote economic cooperation and cultural exchanges, and bring the people and culture of the two countries closer together.
He called on both sides to pay greater attention to the Vietnamese community in South Korea and the South Korean community in Vietnam, while stepping up cooperation in science and technology, education and training, healthcare and strategic supply chains.
The NA President also encouraged South Korean scientists, entrepreneurs and businesses to explore investment opportunities in Vietnam’s major projects and infrastructure works.
