The strategy aims to build a unified, modern, secure, reliable and interoperable national data ecosystem, enabling seamless data sharing across the country.

It also seeks to synchronously develop national and sectoral databases, data warehouses, shared data platforms and common computing infrastructure under a unified architecture.

Data will be leveraged as a strategic national resource and a key production asset, driving better governance, digital economic growth and digital society development.

The strategy also promotes the application of artificial intelligence, high-performance computing and other strategic digital technologies in data analytics, forecasting, policymaking and the delivery of smart public services.

By 2045, Vietnam aims to rank among the world's top 30 countries in data utilization and AI development, while becoming a regional hub for cross-border data storage, processing, connectivity, sharing and exchange.
