Speaking at the first Party Congress of the Ministry of Science and Technology, term 2025-2030 in Hanoi on Saturday, Prime Minister Chinh urged for the diversification of investment resources for innovation, digital transformation, and especially private investment.
He emphasized the development and mastery of strategic and core technologies, prioritizing areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, semiconductors, big data, biology, new energy, among others.
“The Ministry of Science and Technology plays a pivotal role in the process of scientific and technological innovation and digital transformation, while performing the function of state management. Now we are renewing traditional growth drivers like export, consumption, and investment and promoting new growth drivers and green growth, digital economic growth, circular economic growth,” Mr. Chinh said.
The Prime Minister also proposed developing high-quality human resources in science and technology, attracting and using talents, especially young intellectuals and Vietnamese experts abroad.
