Addressing the ceremony, the Prime Minister emphasized that protecting, caring for, and improving public health is a social welfare policy and also a cornerstone of national development.

He said new healthcare facility will help meet growing demand for medical services and contribute to improving the quality of the workforce, enhancing productivity, and strengthening the economy's competitiveness, particularly as Vietnam enters a new era of development.

"The official opening of the Ninh Binh branches of Viet Duc Hospital and Bach Mai Hospital marks a concrete step in restructuring Vietnam's healthcare network toward a modern, well-tiered system. It will help ease the burden on hospitals in Hanoi while enabling people to access high-quality medical services more quickly, at more reasonable costs, and with increasingly better treatment outcomes, in line with the Party and State's guiding principle that all development achievements must improve people's quality of life and bring tangible benefits to the public," said PM Hung.

To ensure the effective operation of the two hospitals, Prime Minister Hung called for continued improvements to policies and mechanisms to develop a modern, integrated, and efficient healthcare network.

He also urged reforms in hospital governance, more effective use of investment resources, stronger investment in human resources, science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation, while creating favorable conditions for both hospitals to enhance their autonomy, innovation, and the quality of healthcare services for the public.
