During a visit to the Kim Bang Invalids Nursing Centre in Ninh Binh province on Thursday, ahead of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27), the PM recalled the saying "When drinking water, remember its source" and President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings about paying debts of gratitude. He presented gifts to war invalids and sick veterans receiving treatment in the nursing center.
Prime Minister Hung also highlighted the ongoing 500-day campaign to locate, recover, and identify the remains of fallen soldiers. In the three months since the campaign began on March 15, 2026, 1,300 sets of remains have been recovered and DNA sample collection and forensic identification have been expanded.
Prime Minister Hung expressed his profound appreciation to invalids, sick soldiers and revolutionary contributors across the country. "We’re moved by and deeply admire the noble example of wounded and sick soldiers. Despite bearing severe war wounds and lasting injuries, you have continued to uphold the noble qualities of ‘Uncle Ho’s Soldiers’,” he said. “Your courage and sacrifice are the embodiment of revolutionary heroism, a solid spiritual anchor that strengthens the trust of the entire political system in the national renewal process."
Prime Minister Hung extended his best wishes and expressed his deepest gratitude to all revolutionary veterans, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Heroes of Labor, wounded and sick soldiers, and families of martyrs nationwide.
