The exhibition traces Vietnam’s historical process of establishing, exercising, and safeguarding its sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, presenting objective and authentic historical and legal evidence affirming Vietnam’s maritime sovereignty.

A highlight of the event is the display of precious archival materials preserved at Vietnam’s National Archives Centers. These include the Nguyen Dynasty imperial records and Nguyen Dynasty woodblocks—both recognized by UNESCO as World Documentary Heritage—as well as maps, administrative documents, photographs, and historical records that are invaluable for the study of Vietnam’s historical sovereignty over its seas and islands.

Titled “Hoang Sa, Truong Sa – Sacred Islands and Seas”, the exhibition runs through Wednesday and is jointly organized by the Da Nang People’s Committee, the State Records and Archives Management Department of Vietnam, the Vietnam Military History Museum, and the Naval Region 3 Command.
