The Prime Minister’s participation underscores Vietnam’s consistent foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation, and development, as well as diversification and multilateralization of external relations in line with the spirit of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
It also reaffirms ASEAN as a top strategic priority in Vietnam’s foreign policy.
On the sidelines of the summit, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung is expected to hold meetings and exchanges with leaders of ASEAN member states.
