Speaking at a ceremony in Hanoi marking the 64th anniversary of the People's Public Security Police Force (July 20, 1962–2026), the Vietnamese top leader urged the force to continue serving as the core in maintaining social order, promoting national development and safeguarding public security.
The Vietnamese top leader stressed the need to build a contingent of police officers with strong political commitment, high ethical standards, sound legal knowledge and professional competence, ready to fulfill their duties and make sacrifices to protect the peaceful and happy lives of the people.
The event brought together current and former police leaders, veteran officers and wounded servicemen. Delegates also watched a documentary highlighting the force's achievements over the past 64 years.
