Vietnamese Ambassador to Denmark Nguyen Le Thanh said the first state visit to Denmark by a Vietnamese Party leader comes as the two countries mark 55 years of diplomatic relations.
“The visit will be a historic milestone in bilateral relations, demonstrating the strategic vision, political will, and mutual trust between the two countries’ leaders. It will provide fresh impetus for elevating Vietnam-Denmark relations to a new height. The visit will offer an opportunity for the two countries’ leaders to discuss strategic orientations to expand and deepen cooperation in key areas, ranging from trade, investment, energy, and high-quality human resource training to science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and green growth,” said Ambassador Thanh.
According to Ambassador Thanh, Vietnam and Denmark share a vision of a world of peace, stability, cooperation, and development based on respect for the United Nations Charter and international law. Both countries value multilateralism, seek to strengthen international cooperation, and work together to address common challenges.
As of the end of July this year, Denmark had 180 active investment projects in Vietnam, with total registered capital of 2.5 billion USD, ranking 21st among 153 countries and territories invested in Vietnam.
