The city's centerpiece celebration was the 50th Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks, featuring around 85,000 fireworks launched from the Brooklyn Bridge, the East River and the Hudson River, accompanied by laser effects and live music in one of the largest fireworks displays in New York's history.
