At the summit, Vice President Xuan and representatives from other nations will discuss the regional and global landscape, as well as issues concerning peace, security, and development. They will offer constructive input on addressing global challenges and non-traditional security threats.
On the sidelines of the event, the Vice President is expected to meet with Kyrgyzstani leaders, heads of delegations, and representatives of international organizations to strengthen ties, expand cooperation, and mobilize resources for national development.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit taking place in Bishkek, coinciding with the organization's 25th anniversary. The invitation extended to Vietnam by Kyrgyzstan—the SCO’s rotating chair for the 2025-2026 term—reflects the high regard held for Vietnam’s role, standing, prestige, and contributions.
The event offers an opportunity for Vietnam to contribute its voice and initiatives toward addressing shared issues, expanding relations, and acting as a bridge between the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the Eurasian Economic Union.
