Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tuan said the chairmanship marks a significant milestone in Vietnam’s international integration. He added that Vietnam would work closely with the APEC Secretariat, member economies, and international financial institutions to maintain cooperation and promote sustainable, inclusive economic development across the region.

As the host economy for APEC 2027, Vietnam has identified four priorities for the Finance Ministers’ Process, Mr. Tuan said. They include strengthening capital markets to mobilize private funding for innovative businesses; promoting data-driven finance to improve access to capital for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises; diversifying development financing across APEC economies; and improving skills among young professionals in the financial sector.
