It was held in Hanoi on Monday by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Vietnam–Australia Scholars and Experts Association. Addressing the forum, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Le Xuan Dinh said that Vietnam identifies science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as key drivers of productivity, growth, and national competitiveness.
“International cooperation is required to support this process by helping domestic businesses and research and training institutions access global knowledge, develop high-quality human resources, and strengthen technological capabilities. Vietnam and Australia enjoy ideal conditions to achieve this goal together,” Mr. Dinh added.
According to Deputy Minister Dinh, Vietnam has strong demand for technology applications, a skilled engineering workforce, and businesses expanding internationally. Australia offers universities, research institutions, and an innovation ecosystem that Vietnamese partners can tap into. By pooling these resources through practical projects, the two countries can jointly develop emerging technologies, train top-tier talent, and open up new markets.
Partnerships forged at the forum are expected to open up market opportunities, mobilize resources, and strengthen the global competitiveness of digital technology firms in both countries.
