Mr. Lam described the elevation of bilateral ties to a Strategic Partnership during his state visit to Azerbaijan in May 2025 as a historic milestone that opened a new chapter in relations between the two countries.
Both sides agreed to step up high-level exchanges, make more effective use of existing cooperation mechanisms, and expand collaboration in trade, investment, oil and gas, energy, transportation, science and technology, education, and culture. They also agreed to continue coordinating closely and supporting each other at multilateral forums, thereby contributing to peace, stability, and development.
Mr. Amirbayov affirmed Azerbaijan’s desire to further strengthen its traditional friendship with Vietnam and advance the Vietnam-Azerbaijan Strategic Partnership in a more substantive and effective manner for the benefit of both peoples.
