Over 100 companies from the tourism, aviation, and hospitality sectors of both countries participated in the event.
The program was held ahead of the launch of direct flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Colombo by Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air later this month. Representatives of Sri Lankan travel businesses welcomed the initiative, saying the new air links are expected to create a new chapter in tourism cooperation between the two countries.
They also praised Vietnam’s diverse tourism offerings, rich cultural heritage, cuisine, and the hospitality of its people. Many expressed interest in establishing partnerships to bring more Sri Lankan visitors to Vietnam in the near future.
