Vietnam’s score increased by 6.3 percent between 2024 and 2026, placing the country among the world’s 10 economies with the largest improvements in the index. It recorded the second-highest growth in this group, behind Albania, whose score rose 7 percent.
The Travel and Tourism Development Index assesses the policies and conditions that support the sustainable and resilient development of the tourism sector.
The index does not directly measure tourist arrivals, spending or tourism revenue. Instead, it evaluates the conditions that enable destinations to attract visitors, provide tourism services and sustain tourism activity over the long term.
