Taking place from Monday to Wednesday under the theme "Unity-Democracy-Innovation-Creativity-Development", the Congress is an important political and social event, demonstrating the strength of the great national unity bloc in the new era. It follows the successful 14th National Party Congress and the elections of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
The Congress marks the beginning of a new operational term with a broader scale and new development journey, as socio-political organizations and mass associations are now placed under the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
On Monday morning, delegates laid wreaths and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum. In the afternoon, the congress entered its first working session, electing the Presidium and Secretariat, and approving the agenda and working regulations.
Delegates contributed opinions on various issues related to consolidating and promoting the tradition and strength of the great national unity bloc in the coming period, as well as the orientations, objectives, targets, and action program of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the next term.
