Speaking at the event, French Ambassador to Vietnam Olivier Brochet emphasised that Vietnam and France share fundamental values such as multilateralism, the rule of international law, and respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The ambassador affirmed that both countries will further strengthen their partnership in the coming years, aiming to help Vietnam build its strategic autonomy, implement key infrastructure projects to ensure sustainable and secure development, and support Vietnam's training and research efforts to achieve its development goals through 2045.
Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang affirmed that Vietnam–France economic and trade cooperation continues to strengthen through effective cooperation mechanisms.
France is Vietnam's leading trade partner and investor within the European Union (EU). Vietnam hopes that France will soon ratify the EU–Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) to create new opportunities for businesses in both countries to increase mutual investment in logistics, seaports, and sustainable urban development.
