These priorities were highlighted at a workshop titled “Trusted Services Beyond Borders: Establishing Digital Trust Infrastructure for an AI-Driven World,” held Thursday in Quang Ninh as part of Vietnam International Digital Week 2026.

The event brought together the National Electronic Authentication Centre, international organizations and technology partners to discuss cooperation and explore digital trust models tailored to Vietnam’s needs.

The long-term goal is to extend trusted digital services beyond national borders, allowing electronic transactions to be authenticated and recognized across different jurisdictions. Such connectivity could make cross-border digital transactions more secure and convenient for individuals and businesses, supporting Vietnam’s deeper integration into the global digital economy.

Vietnam has gradually strengthened its legal framework and national electronic authentication infrastructure, supported by the 2023 Law on Electronic Transactions and regulations governing trust services. The trust-services ecosystem now covers three types of service: digital-signature certification, time-stamping, and data-message authentication.
