Participating as part of the Vietnamese delegation attending the 29th Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, Hang stressed that APEC should continue serving as the leading platform for economic cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region.

She identified three key priorities through 2035 including promoting free and open trade and investment, strengthening the resilience of economies and supply chains, and leveraging science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and green transition to achieve sustainable and inclusive growth.

The Deputy Foreign Minister also called for closer coordination between APEC and regional and global mechanisms to address common challenges more effectively.

Reaffirming Vietnam’s commitment to APEC, she said the country is actively preparing to host APEC 2027 and looks forward to working closely with future host economies and all members to advance peace, prosperity, and sustainable development across the region.
