At a high-level tourism forum held in Ho Chi Minh City, Deputy Prime Minister Tra instructed the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to urgently formulate a national direction for MICE development and propose robust mechanisms and policies to attract leading global MICE organizations and corporations. She emphasized the need for targeted development of MICE hubs linked to strategic connectivity infrastructure and international-standard conference and exhibition complexes.

“I urge the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to promptly advise the Government on implementing the Politburo’s resolution regarding the development of tourism into a key economic sector in the new era. On September 3, we will hold a national conference to disseminate and implement this resolution. It marks a new stage of development aimed at boosting the nation's competitiveness,” said Deputy PM Tra.

MICE market in Vietnam is currently valued at nearly 6 billion USD. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has identified the refinement of mechanisms and policies to attract investment and bring large-scale MICE events to Vietnam as a priority task.
