Minister Trung said the agreement would create fresh momentum for a more stable and effective phase of bilateral cooperation. He reaffirmed Vietnam's commitment to supporting long-term, high-quality US investment by improving its legal framework and business environment.
Secretary Rubio described economic and trade cooperation as the cornerstone of bilateral relations and called for continued close dialogue to finalize a high-standard agreement that would create jobs and expand opportunities in both countries, thus further deepening the Vietnam-US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The two sides also agreed to strengthen cooperation in security, defense, science and technology, education, and people-to-people exchanges, while continuing joint efforts to address war legacies, including dioxin cleanup, unexploded ordnance clearance, and the search for missing personnel.
