Minister Trung called for more high-level exchanges and closer coordination at multilateral forums, particularly as Greece serves as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2025-2026 term.

Mr. Trung also proposed expanding cooperation in shipping, logistics, renewable energy, tourism, culture, science, technology and innovation, while urging Greece to encourage the remaining EU member states to ratify the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA).

Gerapetritis said Greece is ready to serve as Vietnam’s gateway to Europe and expand cooperation under its Indo-Pacific policy.

The two ministers also reaffirmed the importance of maintaining peace, security, freedom of navigation and overflight, and resolving disputes peacefully in accordance with international law, particularly the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
