The top leader said the legislatures of the two countries can serve as an effective bridge for advancing bilateral relations and strengthening people-to-people ties through greater cooperation in culture, social affairs, education and training, and people-to-people exchanges.
In economic cooperation, General Secretary and President Lam called on the two sides to expand and diversify their import-export products and seek solutions to balance bilateral trade.
He also urged Côte d’Ivoire to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese investors, particularly in agriculture, telecoms, oil and gas, digital transformation, cybersecurity, mineral extraction and processing, agricultural processing, civil infrastructure, seaports, urban development and electric vehicles.
Patrick Achi said Vietnam and Côte d’Ivoire share many similarities in their development conditions. He expressed his hope that Côte d’Ivoire will become a destination for Vietnamese businesses to invest and expand into the wider West African market.
