The mission comprises 63 military personnel mobilized from military regions, army corps, military hospitals, the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations and other military units. They will replace Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 7 at the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS).
At a meeting with the officers and personnel before their departure, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Dao, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, urged them to uphold solidarity and responsibility, strictly observe military discipline and UN regulations, and successfully fulfil its duties, contributing to enhancing Vietnam’s position and reputation in the international arena.
Once the Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 8 arrived in South Sudan and completed the handover process, Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 7 is scheduled to return to Vietnam on Friday.
