During Saturday’s meeting with WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on the sidelines of the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi, Mr. Hung urged the WTO to continue supporting Vietnam through capacity building, advanced trade policy training, legal advice on international disputes, and trade facilitation, helping the country make better use of international agreements and commitments and strengthen its competitiveness.
Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala expressed hope that Vietnam will share its experience in development and international economic integration with other developing countries, and support WTO reform efforts and the accession of other countries to the organization.
She reaffirmed the WTO’s support for Vietnam’s international economic integration.
