The Congress elected the 13th Central Committee of the Youth Union for the 2026-2031 term and held five discussions to collect opinions for Congressional documents on promoting young people's contributions toward the advancement of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, economic development, international integration, and renewal of the content and methods of Youth Union activities in the new context.
Nguyen Quang Long, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), said: “I hope that Youth Union organizations will boost innovation in science and technology development and contribute to the national digital transformation process. Young people should strengthen their pioneering role in community digital transformation, helping people install and use digital products and services. In addition, Youth Union organizations should provide digital skills and information security training to enable young people to fully uphold their role in national digital transformation.”
The 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union takes place on June 24-25 in Hanoi under the action slogan “Resilient and Self-Reliant–Pioneering Innovation Aspiration to Contribute Mastering the Future.” The Congress reviews Youth Union work and youth movements during the 2022-2026 term, sets goals, tasks, and solutions for the 2026-2031 term, considers amendments and supplements to the Youth Union Charter, and elects the 13th Central Committee of the Youth Union.
