UN hopes for Syrian peace talks in October or November

(VOVWORLD) -UN special envoy Staffan de Mistura at a press conference at Geneva on Thursday proposed a timetable for dialogues to end the 6-year Syrian crisis, despite the failure of 7 previous negotiation rounds. Mr. Mistura said he expected a meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia involving representatives of 3 opposition groups and President Bashar Al Assad’s government.
