The two strongest teams, China and Portugal, are ready for the most elaborate performances of the season. Fernando Manuel Machado Da Silva Macedo, Captain of the Portuguese team, is upbeat about the host city.

“If you create a place that you can do fireworks in any time of the year, you create a temple for the fireworks in Vietnam, in Da Nang, maybe in the world. We know that there are some places in the world that they do fireworks all the time, like the big place of Disney, but that's different. If you create a place only for fireworks, you can call tourists to come here and watch the fireworks. It will be a great idea,” according to Da Silva Macedo.

Billed as the most successful festival to date, the Da Nang Festival has brought together 10 top fireworks teams from around the world along with a series of colorful accompanying events. Nadia Shakira Wong, CEO of Global 2000 and Advisor to the Jury of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2026, said there will be the wow factor in the final night.

“I would tell the crowd, the public, to expect two big shows and wow moments because these two teams, as you can see from their previous show before they came into the Grand Finale, they are spectacular. So they are going to create something that you have never seen before. So those are the wow moments that you will see. And the music. I think the music this year for DIFF 2026 is the best of all the years,” she said.

Through the festival, Da Nang once again shows its appeal as an international-level festival city, where art, tourism, and the aspiration for integration shine together, opening up exactly as the theme of the season suggests "connecting horizons".
