At the launch ceremony in Hanoi on Saturday, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai, emphasized that the Party and State have always prioritized improving people’s living standards and ensuring social progress and equity, particularly for the poor and vulnerable, so that no one is left behind.

She said helping disadvantaged people is the responsibility of the Party, State and political system, and a shared commitment of every citizen, organization, business and the community as a whole. Such collective efforts help strengthen national unity and support the country’s sustainable development.

Ms Hoai called on authorities, sectors, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations to mobilize broader social participation in poverty reduction and social security, focusing on creating jobs and livelihoods to help poor households improve their lives and escape poverty sustainably.

“On the occasion of the 2026 Peak Month “For the Poor”, on behalf of the Party and State leaders and the Vietnam Fatherland Front, I call on agencies, businesses, donors, people across the country and Vietnamese living abroad to uphold our tradition of solidarity and mutual support. Through practical actions, let us join hands to help the poor and those facing hardship, and contribute to the ‘For the Poor’ funds at all levels and social welfare programs launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front,” said Ms Hoai.

At the ceremony, 30 organizations, businesses and donors pledged more than 14 million US dollars to support the 2026 Month for the Poor campaign.
