Fisherman Nguyen Van Le from Phu Yen Ward said the 1,000-liter tanks are convenient and space-saving. “They can hold a large amount of water, reducing the number of plastic containers needed on board. That leaves more room on fishing vessels and makes operations safer and more convenient, especially in rough weather.”
Fisherman Pham Hung from Tuy Hoa Ward welcomed the support. “Strong waves can damage plastic water containers, causing water shortages and forcing fishermen to return to islands for supplies. These tanks are therefore very helpful.;”
Dak Lak currently has a fishing fleet of nearly 2,600 vessels, including almost 700 offshore fishing boats.
