(VOVWORLD) - Mo Muong is a traditional folk performance accompanying worship rituals of the Muong ethnic group. In Dak Lak, home to about 16,000 Muong people, Mo Muong has been inscribed in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.

(VOVWORLD) - Every year on the 4th day of the 4th lunar month, Dao Thanh Phan ethnic minority people in Dong Van commune, Quang Ninh province gather at market fairs to celebrate the traditional “Wind Avoidance Festival.” More than just a spiritual event, the festival is an occasion for people to entertain and strengthen community bonds.

(VOVWORLD) - The Ha Nhi ethnic people in Muong Nhe district, Dien Bien province, have upheld many customs and cultural traits for generations. Among them is the woven hat, an essential item in their daily life and spiritual practices.

(VOVWORLD) - “Speak ly-sing ly” is an improvised folk art which has been handed down orally by generations of the Cơ Tu ethnic group. To preserve and promote this art form, many districts in Quang Nam province have established classes and clubs and have introduced “speak ly-sing ly” to their schools.

(VOVWORLD) - Then Kin Pang is a traditional cultural festival of the white Thai in Lai Chau province. It is an event at which the local people express their aspirations for a bountiful harvest and a peaceful life, while promoting their unique cultural values and boosting tourism.

(VOVWORLD) - Dong Van district, Ha Giang province, is home to 17 ethnic groups, with Mong people accounting for 80% of the population. The Mong have preserved customs and traditions passed down through many generations. One tradition is their baby-naming ceremony.

(VOVWORLD) - The Muong ethnic minority people in Hoa Binh province rely on their traditional bamboo-strip “Doi” or “Roi” calendar to schedule daily activities, agricultural production, community ceremonies, and festivals.

(VOVWORLD) - The Kate Festival, held annually in the seventh month of the Cham calendar, (from September 25 to October 25 in the Gregorian calendar), is the most spiritually important celebration of the Cham ethnic minority people. At the heart of the festival are the tower-opening ceremony and the palanquin procession, which have been preserved largely unchanged for generations.

(VOVWORLD) - The Muong ethnic people have mastered the art of brocade weaving over generations. In Lạc Sơn District, Hòa Bình Province, they continue to dye and weave fabric to make their traditional clothing.

(VOVWORLD) - Most Cham ethic minority people live in Ninh Thuan province and follow a matriarchal system. After marriage, the husband moves in with his wife's family. Within the extended Cham matriarchal family, each sister has her own chamber on the family compound.
