At a launch ceremony on Monday in Ngoc Trao commune, Thanh Hoa province, the Youth Union of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and other social organizations carried out a number of social welfare activities.

Gifts in cash and kind were presented to revolutionary families and disadvantaged women, scholarships were awarded to ethnic minority children and disadvantaged youths, and bicycles were donated to poor students with good academic records.

The young volunteers organized free medical check-ups and medicine for 300 people and donated two “Great National Solidarity Medicine Cabinets” and bookcases to the border communes of Pù Nhi and Sơn Thủy.

Also on Sunday, thousands of young volunteers engaged in a summer campaign in Ho Chi Minh City, one of the highlights of which was the “Digital Summer” program to promote digital transformation. Young volunteers visited wards and communes to help residents with digital transformation, trained them to use artificial intelligence applications, and helped people complete administrative procedures on digital platforms.

The Hanoi Youth Union has launched 8 teams of volunteers to support public administrative services, the “Digital Literacy for All” program, community digital transformation, young innovation pioneers, urban civilization and new rural development, cultural and economic development in the new era, and resolution of 5 municipal bottlenecks.

The Hanoi Youth Union and the Vietnam Students’ Association of Hanoi awarded 20 scholarships to primary school students in Duong Noi ward. Ha Thanh Huyen, a student at the University of Public Health, said: “I’m very happy to take part in this campaign. These activities are very meaningful to society. I help local residents with health check-ups, give scholarships to disadvantaged children, and give rice and cash to unfortunate people.”

The 2026 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign helps foster a generation of young people with courage, intelligence, good health, and practical social skills, while encouraging them to contribute voluntarily to national construction and defense.
