Leading travel companies like Vietravel, Saigontourist, and Flamingo Red Tours report a significant surge in bookings since early April. Popular destinations like Da Nang, Da Lat, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, and Sa Pa continue to be the top choices.
This year’s holiday spanning five days provides an ideal opportunity for the tourism industry to rebound after a period of stagnation. Travel companies have ramped up preparations by increasing staff, expanding services, and prioritizing tourist safety. In the south, particularly in Ho Chi Minh City, tour bookings have risen sharply since the beginning of April. Numerous new tour options have been introduced, especially for foreign tourists.

Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said: “To prepare for the upcoming holiday we have collaborated with other departments to promote new tourism products. Visitor numbers are currently very high, and we've worked closely with accommodation and travel services to ensure high-quality, welcoming experiences for tourists.”
While domestic tourism is growing strongly, international tourism is also expected to grow during this year’s extended holiday. Ms. Le Thu Thuy of Hanoi said she chose to make an overseas trip to have a fresh experience.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Cuong, Chairman and CEO of the Trang An Travel Company, said outbound tourism is growing strongly
