More than 150 international tour operators from South Korea, Japan, China, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Russia, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will join the event. There will be 200 Vietnamese travel agencies and 200 Vietnamese tourism service providers, including hotels, resorts, attractions, restaurants, and transport companies.
The 5-day program will culminate in the International Travel Forum themed "Accelerating International Tourist Arrivals to Vietnam: New Markets–New Products–New Partnerships", which will explore ways to enhance Vietnam's tourism competitiveness.
Cao Thi Ngoc Lan, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, said the event comes at a crucial time as Vietnam strives to welcome 25 million international visitors. She said creating a platform for business networking, trade promotion, and market development is essential.
"This year's event features several new elements. We have finalized our plans. One of our biggest challenges has been creating an attractive platform for international buyers and international travel companies. So far, 120 international buyers and 156 of Vietnam's leading travel companies have already registered to participate," said Ms Lan.
Nguyen Thi Kim Chung, Deputy Director of the Gia Lai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the province has developed products centered on its rich natural and cultural assets, including the Kon Ha Nung UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve and Kon Ka Kinh National Park.
Ms Chung said: "We’ve been preparing for this event for several years. The number of international tour guides has increased, and we’ve developed itineraries linking the Central Highlands with Vietnam's coastal destinations. Vietnam Travel Day provides an excellent opportunity to introduce Gia Lai's tourism products and enhance the province's tourism brand."
Vietnam Travel Day 2026 is expected to help tourism businesses expand their customer base, forge new partnerships, and capitalize on the sector's renewed growth momentum.
