(VOVWORLD) -The delegation of the National Assembly of Vietnam led by Vice Chairman Tran Thanh Man participated in all the activities of the 146th Inter-parliamentary Union General Assembly in Manama, Bahrain, and promoted a message of peaceful coexistence in the world.

(VOVWORLD) -The 146th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) General Assembly is taking place in Manama, Bahrain. Themed "Promoting peaceful coexistence and inclusive societies: Fighting intolerance", this year’s meeting aims to strengthen cooperation between the international community and legislative bodies to resolve hot spots around the world.

(VOVWORLD) - Though Vietnam was the first country in Southeast Asia to reopen post-COVID-19, its tourism sector has not recovered as expected. In addition to improving the quality of its tourist destinations, Vietnam is implementing several tourism stimulus programs and relaxing its visa policy to attract foreign visitors.

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has implemented several measures to prevent illegal, unreported, unregulated (IUU) fishing and followed the EC’s recommendations since the European Commission imposed a "yellow card" on Vietnam’s fishing activities five years ago. After 3 fact-finding tours to Vietnam, the EC said Vietnam is on the right track and has made several changes, but some problems still need to be addressed. Vietnam is now taking stronger measures to prepare a 4th EC inspection in June.

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has always created favorable conditions for overseas Vietnamese to own houses and residential land in order to give them the same rights as foreign investors operating in Vietnam.

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has made several contributions to the UN’s Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ) Agreement. The agreement was reached at the 5th session of the Intergovernmental Conference on Marine Biodiversity of Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction within the framework of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

(VOVWORLD) -March 11th marks three years since the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19, a disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, a global pandemic. After three years a new normalcy has been established thanks to national and global pandemic control efforts. The fierce COVID-19 waves have passed, but the WHO still maintains the highest level of warning globally to minimize further deaths and sufferings.

(VOVWORLD) - Implementing the Resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the Government, the draft revision of the Land Law is now available for public comment. This is a wide political activity to mobilize the community's wisdom to perfect the draft Land Law (amended), and also to implement Vietnam’s policy of exercising the people's right to mastery in law-making

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has achieved important milestones in the advancement of gender equality. This is the assessment of the United Nations and other international organizations of Vietnam's efforts in promoting gender equality, one of the UN’s Millennium Development Goals. Since its first Constitution mentioned the equality of men and women, Vietnam has continuously improved its legal framework and policies and made remarkable progress toward promoting gender equality.
